The Sadaqah or general donations collected by Al-Muntada Australia serve a dual purpose. Firstly, they are used for the upkeep and maintenance of the mosque, ensuring that it remains a safe, clean, and welcoming space for the community. Secondly, the donations are used to support the poor and needy in our community.
The operational costs of the mosque include rates, taxes, water, gas, and electricity costs, as well as cleaning, maintenance, and repair expenses. Donations are also used to fund events and programs, such as Iftars and festivals, and to pay for the salaries and administration costs of the imams.
Other costs covered by these donations include accounting and booking fees, bank fees, insurance, registrations, heating and air conditioning costs, garden maintenance, waste removal, toiletries, telephone expenses, and stationery. Your donations help us to continue providing vital services and support to the community.
